My Name’s Taylor…

and do i have a story for you:

A smiling woman taking a selfie in a room with various items in the background, including a couch, a box with a floral pattern, and other household objects.

As a life-long crocheter, I’ve always taken pride in creating something beautiful, with slow, intentional, care so that no detail is ever overlooked.

Following a series of major life-events, while witnessing the havoc wrought by trends in over-consumption, I decided to make a drastic career change in my early 30’s.

My mission is a simple one: to put my 20+ years of skills, knowledge, and expertise to good use, and spread a little more joy in the world - which now so desperately needs it…

Here’s the plan:

Alter, Mend, & upcycle:

One of my major priorities is provide accessible alteration and repair services for a wide range of items. From hemming and slimming, to full-blown refashionings, there is always a way to breath new life into your wardrobe.

Close-up of a colorful quilt with various patterned fabric patches, including a round patch with a checkered pattern, floral stripes, and geometric designs.
A green crocheted plush toy with black facial features, a hat, and orange feet, standing next to a colorful crocheted star with a Chicago Cubs logo, and an orange crocheted pumpkin on a table with sewing and craft supplies in the background.

Create & Innovate:

My handmade toys gift are crafted to bring comfort, joy, and connection — reminders that slowly crafted and thoughtful treasures still have a place in our overly-busy world. Each piece is sustainably made with skilled, human-hands to make something new and lasting.

Educate & Empower:

Whether you’re looking for a new hobby, or need to DIY your own clothes and gifts, there is never a wrong time or reason to start learning hand-skills.
While I specialize in free-hand crochet, I like to cover a wide range of basic skills regarding textiles and fiber arts: “Fundamentals are the building-blocks to FUN”
