Lace-up Back Adjustments:
This formal dress had relatively good fit… but much too much material in the back, with the lace-up closure set way too low on the back (it was coming dangerously close to “whore-couture”).
For this adjustment, it required first raising the loops higher up on the back, then removing the access the material from skirt that was creating a horrible protruding affect on the bottom (it created a shape that doesn’t look good on anyone).
Additionally, several pieces of the dress needed to be removed because they were not servicing the dress, much less the adjustments that needed to be made. These included the boning along which stiffened the loops, and the false “modesty” panel that was both ill-placed and completely unnecessary.
