The “Sexy” Elphaba Cardigan
One of my friends reached out at the end of 2025 and put forth an intriguing question: Had I seen “Wicked For Good” yet?
And as the old saying goes… the rest is history…!
Created by the fabulous CocoBree this pattern was such a delight to crochet- albeit with a few tweaks along the way.
Because my friend has a wool allergy, we needed to substitute a combination of cotton and cotton-blends for her yarn. This did inevitably alter her sizing needs (due to the differences in weight and size of the crochet hook), but it wasn’t anything that couldn’t be adjusted to get the right fit.
In the end, she was so happy with how it turned out, and I can’t lie either: I think this is one of the greatest things I think I’ve ever made!
(I cackled manically when I draped her on my sewing form for the first time!)
