Parting is such sweet sorrow...
After a long bout of soul-searching, I’ve decided it’s time for me to permanently shut down my studio’s shop on Etsy.
While it certainly wasn’t an easy choice to make, it was one that I realized was necessary for this season in both my life and livelihood.
-
No, I am not shuttering my studio or my business. This just means that I won’t be selling on Etsy anymore.
This, my main website, will still be up and running, and will become my business’ new “home” for the foreseeable future.
Here I will continue to sell some of my creations and, hopeful, schedule appointments for local clients when I’m ready to introduce some new services.
-
Some items will still be available for purchase through my website; my holiday decorations (the snowflakes, the ornaments), popular toys (Cool Kittens, dolls), and seasonal decor (crochet roses, mini bouquets) will absolutely be available here.
However, some of my other previous listings will no longer be available once they’ve sold out; once they’re gone, they’re gone!
Because of my changing schedule, in addition to current economic challenges, I can no longer justify having such a large collection of listings (though tempting as it may be for my “itchy fingers”).
-
I’m afraid due to security concerns, I am no longer taking new orders through social media or private messaging apps. My primary concern is my customers’ safety, in addition to my own, especially as A.I. is allowed to run wild in our current times.
However, I am preparing to launch a new, free membership program later this year, so that customers have the option of ordering discontinued listings at their leisure. With the added bonus of customization options to really personalize their treasures, so keep an eye out for that announcement!

You can reach me anytime through my website’s contact form, or by calling the listed phone number during regular business hours.
You can also follow my social media channels, and DM through those if that’s what you prefer.
-
Honestly, that’s a perfectly fair question.
While Etsy has given me so much in the way of experience and connections, it’s also become unsustainable for me, for a couple of reasons:
Personal work-life changes have forced me to consider a new direction for the studio, and trying to host two online entities at the same time has just become too precarious of a balancing act for me. Additionally, Etsy has just become too expensive for me to be able turn a sustainable profit for where my business is now during this course-change.
-
You can sign up for my free newsletter here on the website (especially if you’re looking special offers, discounts, and free crafting patterns, wink-wink!).
You can also follow me on Facebook and Instagram for regular updates (I refuse to do Tiktok or the-artist-formerly-known-as-Twitter).
You can also like and subscribe to my studio’s new YouTube channel if you want the extra-special updates, or are in the mood to learn some beginner-friendly crochet techniques.
For 6 wonderful and rewarding years, Etsy has been my online “home” for all of my handmade goodies, to showcase my skills and expertise, and to connect with such incredibly talented makers and artists all over the world! Even though I plan to remain a regular Etsy shopper, my time as a seller has officially come to an end.
It is such a bitter-sweet ending to such a pivotal part of my crafting-journey, but one that I am so deeply gratefully for and wouldn’t change for anything.
Thank you to all the customers who have visited me over the years. It has been my deepest pleasure serving you! If you are able to, I hope you’ll follow me a long on this next leg of my studio’s journey.
And to Etsy, thank you so much for this marvelous opportunity. I will treasure the experience always, as both a former-seller and current-buyer.
