Mandatory Deposit Policy

Starting June 1, 2025, all appointments will be subjected to a mandatory flat fee that must be paid at the time of scheduling. This rate does not reflect the final price of service rendered, but will be deducted from the final bill at the end of the project.

Recently there has been a growing trend of clients reaching out and scheduling fittings for various alterations or projects, but failing to appear on time for said appointments (and in some cases, failing to reschedule!).
Additionally, new business commitments have created less flexibility in my work schedule… so I really need my clients to show up on time for their appointments!

Scheduling FAQ:

  • Each service listed comes with different requirements and skill sets, enough so that no two services are ever exactly alike, though their demands may overlap (For example: hemming pants verses designing and producing an original or replicated prom gown)

  • No. The deposit assigned to each appointment type is NOT reflective of the final price of the service.
    I cannot assign a final price to each appointment type because each garment, quilt, order, etc. will have completely unique challenges and needs.

    However, the deposit amount will be deducted from the final bill of the alternation or custom-make.

  • Yes. Clients can apply 1 discount code to their appointment during scheduling. For Frequent Shoppers this means they can apply their evergreen discount to each appointment type; there is no limit to the number of uses, so clients in this membership program can use them for virtually every appointment.

    Frequent Shoppers can also apply this code to their final bill to reap more savings. However, this means that stacking discounts and coupons is strictly prohibited;
    only one discount code per purchase is allowed for appointments.

  • Unfortunately, no - simply because I may not be able to give a final price, depending on the garment’s/project’s unique needs. The more complicated an alteration/project is, the harder it is to anticipate unforeseen challenges (and each project has one!)

    However, I can provide the client a rough estimation of their final price range, just in case it’s too far out of budget.

  • All deposits are non-refundable.

    Deposits may be refunded in the event of extenuating circumstances, but this is not guaranteed as these cases are extremely rare.

  • Clients may cancel their order at any time in the process after the initial meeting (even the day of final payment); their materials and/or garments will be returned, but they will not be issued a refund of their deposit.

    Additionally, in the event of custom-makes, the client’s final project will be confiscated and declared abandoned property.
