Shell Stitch Square
Repurposed
IMPORTANT:
This square is a re-purposing of a pattern I discovered from Lucy Kate Crochet, while I was conducting research for a new cardigan pattern.
To learn the original granny square pattern please visit the instruction page here.
Thank you for supporting human artists, and thank you, Lucy Kate Crochet!
Materials:
For practice, I recommend a size J-10 crochet hook, paired with medium weight acrylic or acrylic-blend for your first few squares.
I also recommend making at least 4 or 5 squares in a single color to practice the overall pattern; once you’re more comfortable with it, take a shot at switching between colors to create more dynamic patterns!

dc 1 into the center of the ring, ch. 1

skip next 2 dc, then, in sc:
<DC, ch 2, DC, ch 1, DC, ch 2, DC>
