challenge Accepted! Hexagon Jester Hat

So, as a crocheter with now 20+ years of experience

(… holy crap, I’m old..!)

I’m always on the look out for new projects to tackle, sharpen my skills, and grow my repertoire. And, like thousands of other artists around the world, I find that social media is a great place for new inspiration.

Early this year, I stumbled upon a project pic on my Facebook (FB) page featuring a new (to me) way of using crochet hexagons: a fun and whimsical jester’s hat!

Having already worked a bit on the still-popular “hexagon cardigan” (entry coming later), I couldn’t resist tackling this pattern myself.

It’s so cute, and fun, and incredibly simple in it’s design: all you need is a hexagon shape measured to your hat size. Add 4-6 rows of post-crochet ribbing for a better fit, and you’re golden!
