This is only one of many quilts my grandmother made and passed down to my family. And now that it's well over 30 years old, and she's no longer with us, it's important to me to start make those little patches and repairs, and even preemptive-mending, as a way of preserving her hard work and memory for as long as possible. Fair warning tho - it's going to be a LONG process!
