refashioned Jumper
When I was in Austria this past summer, I stopped into a couple of thrift shops with my new friend, Neesha. While we were there, I found this black skirt that I suspect at one point was the right size for me (given the labeling I found in the tags). The only problem was that it did not fit anymore - as it was 100% cotton I suspected someone must’ve washed it at some point before donating it.
Originally I had planned to simply insert gussets on the side seams to resize the skirt to my measurements (hence why some pictures show the skirt seam-ripped apart). But then, I happen to remember that I still had half of an old project I never quiet finished, and realized the two of them could go together nicely!

After making a few minor fit-adjustments, and adding some decorative touches, I now have a comfy, breathable summer jumper to wear around the house or for a quick jaunt about town! It’s one of those situations that teaches you there’s always a way to make something old new again.
